Description

The Casa Matemática Oaxaca (CMO) will host the "Multivariable Operator Theory and Function Spaces in several Variables" workshop in Oaxaca from August 1 to August 6, 2021.

The purpose of this workshop is to bring together specialists in operator theory and complex analysis in several variables, with the aim of surveying recent developments and fostering new interactions between researchers in these subjects. Specific topics featured in this workshop include non-commutative function theory and its applications, the analysis of invariant subspaces and multiplier spaces for spaces of analytic functions of several variables, dilation theory for operator tuples, and extension problems for analytic functions in higher dimensions.

The Casa Matemática Oaxaca (CMO) in Mexico, and the Banff International Research Station for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery (BIRS) in Banff, are collaborative Canada-US-Mexico ventures that provide an environment for creative interaction as well as the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and methods within the Mathematical Sciences, with related disciplines and with industry. The research station in Banff is supported by Canada's Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), Alberta's Advanced Education and Technology, and Mexico's Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT). The research station in Oaxaca is funded by CONACYT
