Description

The Banff International Research Station will host the "Integrable Systems and Moduli Spaces" workshop from August 25th to August 30th, 2013.

"Integrable Systems and Moduli Spaces" is intended as a 5-day workshop hosted by BIRS, where the leading experts in
integrable systems and algebraic geometry, along with young researchers from all over the world, will discuss the
latest trends and ideas interconnecting these fields of mathematics.

Interactions between the theory of integrable systems and the geometry of moduli spaces that started to emerge
about 30 years ago, have become considerably more profound and mutually enriching in the present time. The workshop
seeks to set the ground for future developments on the borderline of the two fields. Communications with other
fields such as dynamical systems and mathematical physics, will also be strongly emphasized.

The Banff International Research Station for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery (BIRS) is a collaborative Canada-US-Mexico venture that provides an environment for creative interaction as well as the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and methods within the Mathematical Sciences, with related disciplines and with industry. The research station is located at The Banff Centre in Alberta and is supported by Canada's Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), Alberta's Advanced Education and Technology, and Mexico's Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT).
