Daniel Juan Pineda, Director of Casa Matematica Oaxaca (CMO). Daniel Juan Pineda obtained his Ph. D. in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA in 1994. He was the founder Director of Centre for Mathematical Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) from 2011 to 2019 where he is a full professor. He has been a visiting professor at the New York State University at Binghamton and the University of Caen in France. His research is around algebraic and geometric topology.
